Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche has voiced strong complaints about the refereeing following the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City. Dyche argued that the refereeing decisions directly influenced the outcome of the match.

Specifically, Dyche referred to Rayan Cherki's winning goal, claiming it was preceded by a foul on Morgan Gibbs-White. He also believed that Rúben Dias should have been sent off after a foul on Igor Jesus.

Referee Rob Jones and VAR upheld Cherki's goal, while former assistant referee Darren Cann argued that the Dias incident did not warrant a second yellow card.

The defeat leaves Nottingham Forest close to the relegation zone.
