Official: Lamela joins Sevilla's coaching staff

Erik Lamela has officially joined Sevilla's coaching staff, under Matías Almeyda. The Argentinian, due to persistent injury problems, decided to retire from active play and pursue a coaching career.

Sevilla announced Lamela's integration into Almeyda's staff, ahead of the match against Athletic Bilbao. Almeyda expressed his emotion regarding Lamela's retirement, emphasizing his value as a footballer and his contribution to AEK.

"Lamela joins Matías Almeyda's technical staff as an assistant, and this Saturday he traveled with the team to Bilbao, where the team will make its league debut on Sunday against Athletic Bilbao."
