Official: Nemanja Maksimović to Shabab Al Ahli

Panathinaikos FC has officially announced the sale of Nemanja Maksimović to Shabab Al Ahli in the United Arab Emirates. The transfer has been confirmed, with the 30-year-old Serbian departing after one season.

Maksimović joined as a free agent from Getafe in the summer of 2024 and made 50 appearances for Panathinaikos, scoring four goals.

Shabab Al Ahli paid 5.2 million euros to acquire the player. This is the third most expensive sale in Panathinaikos' history, after Giorgos Vagiannidis and Djibril Cissé.

Maksimović will be coached by former Panathinaikos player, Paulo Sousa, who is the coach of Shabab Al Ahli.
