Vitesse: Historic Club Out of Professional Football

Vitesse, one of the most historic clubs in the Netherlands, has officially announced its relegation and departure from professional football.
This decision came after the rejection of the team's appeal against the decision of the country's Football Federation, resulting in the loss of its professional license.
In recent years, the team has faced serious problems, culminating in the deduction of 18 points in the 2023/24 season, which led to its relegation from the Eredivisie after 35 years.
Vitesse, where Nikos Machlas once played, made its debut in European competitions in 2021, in the Conference League, where it defeated Tottenham 1-0.
In a statement, the team expressed its sadness at the decision and announced that it would consider its next steps.
