Gullit: 'I've stopped watching football, it's awful'

Ruud Gullit, the 1987 Ballon d'Or winner, has stated that he has stopped watching football, calling it 'awful'. In an interview with the Dutch television channel Ziggo Sport, Gullit expressed his disappointment with the evolution of the sport.
'I decided to stop watching football. Football has become absolutely awful,' he said. As an example, he mentioned the Arsenal vs. Chelsea match, highlighting the lack of players with courage and creativity.
'I see players trying to create corners, trying to create throw-ins... I miss the joy. Everyone is just making moves on the field. Where are the players who dribble? Where are the players with courage?' Gullit wondered, referring to Lamine Yamal as a rare exception.
