Guardiola: «The team is to blame for Haaland's lack of goals»

Pep Guardiola defended Erling Haaland, saying the team is to blame for the Norwegian striker's recent lack of goals. Ahead of the crucial Champions League match against Galatasaray, Guardiola stressed that Manchester City needs to create more opportunities for Haaland.

Haaland, who started the season at an impressive pace, has scored only once (with a penalty) in his last nine games. Guardiola stated: «The team is to blame. Create more chances and then he will score».

Manchester City faces Galatasaray and needs a win to improve its position in the standings. Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sané, former City players, return as opponents in the match.
