English FA to Create Official FA Cup Anthem

The English Football Association (FA) plans to create an official anthem for the FA Cup, similar to that of the Champions League, aiming to keep the competition "fresh and modern."
According to 'The Times,' the FA has commissioned a company belonging to the Universal Music group to create an anthem for the men's FA Cup and a separate one for the women's competition.
The new anthem will be played in stadiums before matches, during the players' handshakes, from the early rounds to the final at Wembley. However, it will not replace the traditional hymn "Abide With Me."
A source from the FA stated that music can enhance the pre-match atmosphere and that the initiative is part of the marketing plan to keep the FA Cup "fresh and modern" while remaining connected to its tradition.
A British composer may be commissioned to create the anthems, with orchestral elements.
