Copenhagen suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Randers, finishing seventh in the Danish Superligaen. This marks the first time in 26 years that Copenhagen will participate in the league's playouts.

Copenhagen, featuring Pantelis Hatzidiakos and Dominik Kotarski, failed to secure a spot in the top six, missing the opportunity to compete for the championship for the 26th consecutive season. The decisive goal for Randers was scored in the 12th minute of added time.

Despite the disappointing season, Copenhagen still has the chance to compete for a spot in the Conference League qualifiers through the playouts.

Since the 1999/2000 season, Copenhagen has consistently been among the top teams in the Superligaen, with the exception of the 2017/18 season. They have won 15 championships since 2001.
