According to Moroccan publication Le360, Marseille and Girona have reached a definitive agreement for the transfer of Azzedine Ounahi. The report states that this agreement effectively cancels the possibility of the player transferring to Panathinaikos.

Le360 emphasizes that Marseille's sporting director, Mendi Benatia, was pressuring Ounahi to accept an offer from a club in Qatar, but ultimately Girona managed to reach an agreement with the player and Marseille. The transfer is expected to be completed within the next few hours.

According to the report, Ounahi had a full season on loan at Panathinaikos, where he played in 37 games, scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists. These performances seem to have convinced Girona's management to move for his acquisition.
