Barcelona: Fermín López Extends Contract Until 2031

Barcelona has announced the contract extension of Fermín López until 2031. The agreement includes a doubling of the player's salary and a release clause of 500 million euros.

Negotiations concluded on January 26th, with Barcelona rewarding the 22-year-old midfielder for his progress under the guidance of Hansi Flick. The new contract extends the existing agreement by two years.

The club is expected to officially announce the agreement on Thursday, after the match against Copenhagen for the Champions League. The signing ceremony will take place next week in the presence of President Joan Laporta.
