Benfica Close to Record Signing of Sudakov

Benfica is poised to make the most expensive signing in its history after qualifying for the Champions League League phase.

The Eagles are in the final stages of acquiring Georgiy Sudakov, who played for Shakhtar Donetsk against Panathinaikos. The transfer fee for the 22-year-old midfielder is expected to reach 30 million euros, surpassing the purchase of Orkun Kökçü from Feyenoord.
