Pavlidis seeks to return to scoring form

According to a report in the Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Vangelis Pavlidis is preparing to face one of the most 'comfortable' opponents of his career, at a time when the Greek striker is going through a difficult phase in scoring.

The Benfica striker, the team's top scorer for the 2025/26 season with 28 goals in all competitions and 20 in the league, has gone five consecutive games without scoring. These matches were against Real Madrid (twice), Aves, Gil Vicente and Porto.

Pavlidis' last goal was scored on February 13, in Benfica's 2-1 victory against Santa Clara, for the 22nd matchday of the Portuguese championship.
