Pep Guardiola: First Manager to Spend Over €2 Billion on Transfers

Pep Guardiola has become the first manager in football history to spend over €2 billion on transfers. This milestone was reached following the acquisition of James Trafford from Burnley to Manchester City.
With the transfer of Trafford, costing approximately €31 million, Guardiola's total spending on transfers exceeded the €2 billion mark. Diego Simeone is in second place with €1.31 billion.
Specifically, at Barcelona (2008-2012), Guardiola spent €342 million, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic being the most expensive transfer. At Bayern Munich (2013-2016), spending reached €206 million, with Arturo Vidal being the most expensive signing. At Manchester City (since 2016), over €1.6 billion has been spent, with Jack Grealish being the most expensive addition.
