Footballer 'Hires' ChatGPT as Manager

28-year-old Demetri Mitchell, a former Manchester United footballer, used ChatGPT to negotiate his contract with Leyton Orient, a team in the English third division (EFL).

According to Mitchell, ChatGPT helped him negotiate the terms of his contract, taking into account the cost of living in London and his family's needs. Mitchell stated that he saved on the commissions of a traditional manager.

"Orient sent me an offer and I used ChatGPT to ask how I should negotiate and what I should say," Mitchell said on the "From My Left" podcast.

Mitchell also highlighted the economic advantages of using ChatGPT over a traditional manager, stating that ChatGPT cost him £15 a month, while a manager's commission would be 5%.
