Sidiropoulos, Papapetrou, Fotias to Referee in Conference League Third Qualifying Round

International referees Tasos Sidiropoulos, Tasos Papapetrou, and Vasilis Fotias will officiate return leg matches for the Conference League on August 14.

Initially, Lanoy requested the referees to declare unavailability to UEFA due to the Stoiximan Super League seminar in Xanthi (August 4-7). This made it impossible for them to be appointed to the first matches of the third qualifying round.

However, the unavailability ultimately led to their appointment for the Conference League return leg matches. UEFA notifies international referees of their obligations in advance, and they choose their assistants and fourth official.

Sidiropoulos is an elite category referee, while Fotias and Papapetrou are in the first category. Their performance will be evaluated for future appointments.

The other international referees, Vergetis, Papadopoulos, and Tsakalidis, were appointed to the first matches of the second qualifying round of the Conference League but are not expected to be selected for the continuation.
