Damian SzymaĆski: Close to Transfer to Legia Warsaw

According to reports in Poland, Damian SzymaĆski is close to leaving AEK Athens to continue his career at Legia Warsaw.
The 30-year-old midfielder, who is not in AEK's plans, is reportedly open to returning to Poland. The website «sport.tvp.pl» reports that Legia Warsaw is close to acquiring SzymaĆski, who would be their fourth summer signing.
The report states that Legia had been in talks with the player for some time, but there were obstacles regarding the termination of his contract with AEK. Although AEK does not count on SzymaĆski, the situation became complicated.
SzymaĆski, who is not in Marco NikoliÄ's plans, is on the list of players to be released. He has played for AEK since January 2020, making 190 appearances and scoring 11 goals. He is third in appearances by foreign players in the team's history, behind Toni Savevski and Andre Simoes.
