Super League: VAR and Semi-Automated Offside in All Matches (2025-26)

All Super League matches for the 2025-26 season will be played using VAR and Semi-Automated Offside Technology (SAOT), as announced by the organizing authority.
The Super League is collaborating with Hawk-Eye Innovations, a Sony Group company, to provide VAR and SAOT technologies.
Semi-Automated Offside Technology uses high-resolution cameras and sensors in the ball for accurate decision-making.
Super League Deputy President Κάτια Κοξένογλου stated that the implementation of VAR and SAOT technologies will upgrade the accuracy of referee decisions.
Paolo Valeri, Vice President of KED & Head of VAR, emphasized that the goal is to reduce erroneous VAR interventions and eliminate human error in offside decisions.
