Turkey: State Oversight for Kasimpasa, Warrant for Chairman

Turkish team Kasimpasa, where Greek goalkeeper Andreas Gianniotis plays, has been placed under state oversight due to an investigation into fraud and money laundering.
The Istanbul prosecutor's office issued an arrest warrant for the chairman of Ciner Holding and owner of the team, Turgay Ciner, who is outside Turkey.
Authorities are investigating the companies of the Ciner group, starting with the acquisition of radio and television media in December 2024 (Haberturk, Show TV, Bloomberg HT).
Kasimpasa, the team supported by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is currently 11th in the league with 8 points.
