AEK Athens crushed Aberdeen 6-0 at the 'OPAP Arena' in the Conference League League Phase, securing their first win in the competition.

Marko Nikolić's team secured the three points from the first half, with goals from Koita (2), Eliasson, Marin, Jović, and Koutessa. This is AEK's biggest win in Europe, equalling the 6-0 victory against Grevenmacher in 2001.

Aberdeen suffered their second consecutive defeat and their heaviest ever in Europe in their 122-year history. This defeat overshadowed previous losses, such as the 4-0 defeat by Liverpool in 1980 and the 5-1 defeats by Bayern Munich and Sigma Olomouc in 2008 and 2009 respectively.

Aberdeen had a strong start to their domestic season with wins against Dundee and St Mirren, but their performance against AEK was below par.
