Wild Bear Confronts NHL Team Mascot During Filming

A wild brown bear confronted a production team and the NHL's Seattle Kraken mascot, Buoy, in Katmai National Park, Alaska.

The team was there to create a video clip ahead of the new 2025/26 season when the bear approached menacingly.

Kraken center John Hayden described the moment as 'difficult'. The bear was initially at a distance but then headed towards the people, forcing filming to stop. Fortunately, the bear did not attack, focusing mainly on the mascot, Buoy.
