Giorgos Donis: Appointed as Saudi Arabia National Team Coach

Giorgos Donis has officially been appointed as the coach of the Saudi Arabia national team, succeeding Hervé Renard.

The Greek coach signed a 1.5-year contract, aiming to prepare the team for the FIFA World Cup in the USA, where Saudi Arabia will face Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde.

Donis will be the second Greek coach to participate in a World Cup, after Alketas Panagoulias in 1994.

Donis's contract is expected to earn him 5 million euros. He has previously worked at Al Wehda and Al Fateh.
