Dick Advocaat Resigns from CuraƧao Ahead of 2026 World Cup
Dick Advocaat has resigned as the coach of CuraƧao a few months before the start of the 2026 World Cup. The Dutch coach stepped down due to his daughter's health issues.
The 78-year-old Advocaat stated that family comes before football and that he will miss CuraƧao. He will be replaced by Fred Rutten.
CuraƧao will face Germany, Ecuador, and Ivory Coast in their World Cup group, with their first match scheduled for June 14.
