Mexico: Two Dead After 6.5 Magnitude Earthquake – Video

Two people have died in Mexico following a 6.5 magnitude earthquake that struck the southwestern part of the country. The earthquake occurred at 07:58 local time (15:58 Greek time).
The epicenter was located near the city of San Marcos, in the state of Guerrero, about 400 kilometers from the capital. The tremor forced President Claudia Sheinbaum to interrupt her daily press conference.
In the city of San Marcos, approximately 50 houses were completely destroyed, and there are reports of cracks in all other buildings. According to the Mexican Seismological Service, 546 aftershocks were recorded.
Mexico is located above the convergence of five tectonic plates, making it particularly prone to strong earthquakes.
