Cyprus Approves New Electric Vehicle Incentive Plan

The Council of Ministers has approved a new plan to boost electric mobility in Cyprus. Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeadis, stated that the plan aims to strengthen the market for fully electric and hybrid vehicles through state funding, providing grants and incentives for the purchase of new and used vehicles.
Prior to the implementation of the new plan, 97 grants for vehicles and 18 for motorcycles will be reallocated from the third call of the Electric Mobility Promotion Plan. Following the exhaustion of these grants, the new plan will commence, with a budget of 2.5 million euros from the state budget.
