2012: Usain Bolt Wins Gold at London Olympics
On August 5, 2012, Jamaican Usain Bolt won the gold medal in the 100-meter final at the London Olympics. He set an Olympic record with 9.63 seconds. He became the first athlete to retain his title in sprint events after Carl Lewis in 1988.
