Yusuf Dikec: Uncomfortable with the Publicity

Yusuf Dikec, the Turkish shooting athlete who won the silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the 10-meter air pistol event, has expressed his discomfort with the sudden publicity.

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper MARCA, Dikec, known for his style of competing with his hand in his pocket, stated that he did not have a childhood involvement with weapons and started shooting at a relatively late age.

Although he acknowledges that his style has become a global phenomenon, with athletes like Mondo Duplantis imitating him, Dikec does not feel comfortable with the recognition and invasion of his privacy.

He also expressed his annoyance at false news circulating online about him. Regarding his characteristic stance, Dikec emphasized that the important thing is to feel comfortable.
