Elena Kulichenko Receives Olympic Preparation Scholarship

High jump champion Elena Kulichenko received the Olympic Preparation Scholarship from the A.G. Leventis Foundation, presented by the President of the Cyprus Olympic Committee (COC), Georgios Chrysostomou.

The award ceremony took place on June 25. Kulichenko is one of twelve Cypriot athletes selected for the 2024-25 program.

The athlete, flag bearer for the Cypriot delegation at the «Paris 24» Olympic Games, was absent from the May 8 award ceremony due to studies in the U.S., where she won first place at the American University Championship for the second consecutive year.

Kulichenko thanked the COC and the Leventis Foundation, emphasizing that the scholarship will help her prepare for the «Los Angeles 28» Olympic Games. She plans to decide on her new training location in Europe after the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in August.
