Portugal: Priest DJ to Open Super Cup Final

Father Guilherme, a 51-year-old priest and professional DJ, will open the program for the Portuguese Super Cup final between Sporting Lisbon and Benfica. The match will be held at the Estadio Algavre in Faro.
Father Guilherme, known for combining disparate qualities, is a military priest and a fan of Vitoria Guimaraes. He has a DJ degree and became particularly popular during the pandemic with online concerts.
In 2019, he met Pope Francis at the Vatican, who blessed his headphones. This is the first time the priest DJ will appear on a stage connected to professional football in Portugal.
