Apostolos Tsitsipas Clash with Umpire: "I'll Report You"

Tension arose during Stefanos Tsitsipas' match with Shapovalov when the umpire warned the Greek champion for illegal coaching from his father, Apostolos Tsitsipas.

Although coaching is now permitted on the ATP Tour, regulations prohibit it from evolving into a discussion. The match umpire, Mohamed Lahyani, deemed there to be an exchange between Apostolos and Stefanos.

Apostolos Tsitsipas protested strongly, telling the umpire: "I will report you after the match, you probably don't know your job." Earlier, Shapovalov had also complained about noise from Stefanos Tsitsipas' box.

Stefanos Tsitsipas was defeated by Shapovalov in 3 sets and was eliminated from the second round.
