Alexander Zverev has openly discussed his psychotherapy and the influence of Roger Federer in changing his behavior on and off the court.

The German tennis player, in an interview, referred to the difficulties he faced with depression and how psychotherapy helped him recognize the important things in life, especially as a father.

Zverev emphasized that Roger Federer was a source of inspiration for changing his behavior, as the Swiss tennis player managed to transform from a player who easily lost his composure into a model athlete.

'I want to be a role model and be remembered for my tennis and the things I do off the court, like my foundation, and not for my outbursts of anger. I have changed. I want to set a good example for my child. In a way, Roger Federer has been an inspiration for making this change,' Zverev stated.

Zverev revealed that psychotherapy has helped him manage his anger and remain calm during matches, as was evident in the match against Alexei Popyrin in Toronto.
