Cincinnati: Tsitsipas Eliminated by Bonzi

Stefanos Tsitsipas was defeated by Benjamin Bonzi with 6-7(4), 6-3, 6-4 and was eliminated from the Cincinnati Open. The match was for the round of 16 of the Masters 1000 tournament.

In the first set, Bonzi was aggressive, but Tsitsipas won the set in a tie break. In the second set, Bonzi took the lead, and there was an interruption due to a computer error. After the return, Bonzi equalized to 1-1. In the third set, Tsitsipas could not respond, with Bonzi taking the victory.

In the next round, Bonzi will face Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Tsitsipas had recently referred to the restoration of his relationship with his father, Apostolos Tsitsipas, as his coach.
