US Open: Tsitsipas Eliminated After Loss to Altmaier

Stefanos Tsitsipas was eliminated from the US Open in the second round, defeated by German Daniel Altmaier 3-2 sets (6-7, 6-1, 6-4, 3-6, 5-7) after a 4.5-hour match.

Tsitsipas had a match point in the fifth set but failed to capitalize. Despite having 72 winners compared to his opponent's 49, the 65 unforced errors and 12 double faults played a decisive role in his defeat.

Following his elimination from the US Open, Stefanos Tsitsipas will participate in the Davis Cup in Athens on September 13/14.
