ChatGPT: Transcription and Interviews β Experiments and Results
A user explored ChatGPT's capabilities in transcription, using OpenAI's Whisper tool. Initially, difficulties were encountered with transcribing Greek text, yielding incomprehensible results. Subsequently, English text was tested, where the transcription was almost perfect but time-consuming.
Further experiments showed that ChatGPT can improve incomprehensible Greek texts, but not with absolute accuracy. The user was enthusiastic about the performance in English and plans to test in French as well. The goal is to create an efficient workflow for transcribing interviews, which will be taught to students.
