According to Amazon, the issue gradually mitigated after 12:30 PM, with most services now operating normally, although delays are noted due to accumulated requests.
AWS is a fundamental backbone of internet operations, supporting companies and services from streaming to data storage and web applications.
The DownDetector website reported that dozens of companies were affected, including Amazon, Venmo, Hulu, McDonald’s, Coinbase, Snapchat, Ring, Roblox, Zoom, Lloyd’s Bank, Bank of Scotland, Signal, Gov.uk, Wordle, Slack, Canva, Fortnite, Tidal, Duolingo, Microsoft 365, Pokémon Go, Strava, and WhatsApp.
