A Greek student from EPAL Heraklion won three awards in Silicon Valley for his innovative adaptation of the Rubik's Cube.

Alexandros Angelidakis, a student at the 4th Esperino EPAL, was recognized for his special adaptation of the Rubik's Cube for people with blindness, achromatopsia, and Alzheimer's.

According to cretalive.gr, the cube for the blind uses six audio recorders to identify colors. For people with Alzheimer's, the cube contains audio messages that help exercise memory.

Mr. Angelidakis participated in the Silicon Valley Invention Convention in Santa Clara, California, where he received one gold and two silver awards. In 2024, he was awarded a bronze medal in Geneva for a Rubik's Cube for the blind.

The 4th Esperino EPAL of Heraklion expressed its warmest congratulations to the student for his significant distinction.
