China Proposes International AI Regulatory Body

China has proposed the establishment of an international organization to regulate Artificial Intelligence (AI), with Prime Minister Li Qiang calling for global cooperation.

In a speech at the World AI Conference in Shanghai, Mr. Li emphasized the need for a common approach to both the development and security of AI. He pointed out that the existing regulatory landscape is "fragmented," making it necessary to strengthen dialogue and cooperation.

The proposal aims to formulate common rules for the responsible and safe development of technology for the benefit of humanity.
