Musk vs OpenAI: Judge Denies Musk's Request

Federal Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers has denied Elon Musk's request to dismiss the lawsuit filed by OpenAI, which accuses him of attempting to sabotage its success in order to favor his own company, xAI.
OpenAI claims that Musk used legal claims, press statements, and social media posts to damage its reputation and benefit xAI, which he founded in 2023.
The case began when Musk accused OpenAI of abandoning its original non-profit purpose after receiving billions of dollars in funding from Microsoft in 2019.
Judge Gonzalez Rogers ruled that OpenAI's counterclaim is legally sufficient to proceed, while dismissing some of Musk's claims against OpenAI and Microsoft. The trial is scheduled for March in federal court in Oakland, California.
