Smartphones: The New Trend of Large Batteries

Increasing battery capacity is becoming an important criterion for consumers when choosing a smartphone. Manufacturers from China are leading this trend, emphasizing battery capacity.

While the typical battery capacity in smartphones remains at 5000 mAh, Chinese companies such as realme, Xiaomi, and Oppo are introducing models with batteries ranging from 6500 mAh to 7500 mAh. For example, the realme GT7 series has a 7000 mAh battery, while Xiaomi's Poco F7 has a 6500 mAh battery and the Redmi 15G reaches 7000 mAh. Oppo unveiled the Find X9 Pro with a 7500 mAh battery, and the Chinese version of the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max has a similar capacity.

This increase in capacity does not necessarily lead to a larger device thickness, thanks to new technologies. At the same time, manufacturers are improving fast charging technologies, with some models supporting charging up to 120W, allowing for rapid battery replenishment.

Analysts are examining whether Apple and Samsung will follow this trend, as battery life and fast charging are becoming increasingly important criteria for consumers.
