Mercedes and Microsoft Turn Cars into Mobile Workspaces

Mercedes-Benz is integrating Microsoft's digital tools into its vehicles, transforming them into mobile workspaces. The suite includes the Teams app with the "Meeting" feature, starting with the CLA.

Drivers can participate in calls via the integrated camera, with an emphasis on safety and compliance with legislation. Viewing shared screens while driving will not be possible.

The Meetings feature offers a control panel for upcoming meetings and an upgraded chat function. Voice control and direct transition from calendar to Teams are integrated.

Microsoft Intune is integrated into the MB.OS operating system, creating a secure work environment. Users can connect to their business accounts and use applications such as MBUX Notes and Calendar.

Additionally, Mercedes and Microsoft are collaborating to integrate Microsoft 365 Copilot, helping users prepare for meetings via voice commands and artificial intelligence (AI).
