Mercedes and Microsoft Turn Cars into Mobile Workspaces

Mercedes is integrating advanced digital tools from Microsoft into its vehicles, starting with the new CLA, to offer customers the ability to work on the go.

The suite of tools includes the latest version of the “Meeting” feature in the “Teams” application, allowing drivers to participate in calls via the built-in camera. The use of the camera complies with the legislation of each country and has been approved for use while driving, while the driver will not have access to shared screens or presentations while driving.

The updated Meetings feature in Teams features a dashboard with a “Next Meetings” function and an upgraded chat function. Mercedes has also integrated Microsoft Intune into the MB.OS operating system, creating a secure environment for working on the go.

In addition, Mercedes and Microsoft are collaborating to integrate Microsoft 365 Copilot, which will help users prepare for meetings via voice commands and artificial intelligence.
