Ofcom Investigates Grok AI Over Inappropriate Content

Ofcom, the UK's online safety regulator, has launched an investigation into the X platform regarding sexually explicit images generated by Grok AI, the chatbot of Elon Musk's platform.
The investigation focuses on reports of Grok AI being used to create images of nude people and children, potentially violating public decency and constituting child pornography.
The British government and the European Commission have expressed concerns and taken steps to address the issue. The Commission has ordered the X platform to retain all relevant documents and data until the end of 2026.
The EU fined X €120 million in December for violating the Digital Services Act (DSA).
