Google Maps: Blur Your House for Enhanced Security

A Reddit user shared their decision to blur their house on Google Maps following increased burglaries in their area. Google automatically blurs faces and license plates, but users can request blurring of their entire property.
Police officers, such as Ryan Railsback, argue that blurring can prevent burglars from identifying vulnerable points. However, Professor Christopher Herrmann warns that blurring only one house might attract attention.
The process involves entering the address on Google Maps, selecting Street View, clicking “Report a problem,” and confirming via email. This makes the property unidentifiable online.
