The 'List' includes researchers from institutions such as Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, OpenAI, and DeepMind, aged 25-40, specializing in complex computational science problems. Some are negotiating salaries up to $100 million.

Names mentioned include Lucas Beyer (robotic vision), Yu Zhang (speech recognition), and Misha Bilenko (large-scale machine learning).

Meta, under Alexander Wang, is offering high salaries and attempting to attract teams from other labs. Zuckerberg is personally involved in the selection of scientists, reviewing academic publications and discussing outreach strategies.

AI labs, such as OpenAI and Anthropic, have strengthened security measures, with separation of research teams and strict access controls.
