An elephant attacked a boat carrying British tourists during a safari on a river in Botswana. The incident occurred when the guide approached an elephant that was eating reeds on the riverbanks.

The elephant, weighing 5 tons, attacked the boat, lifting it with its tusks. The captain tried to disorient the animal by clapping and shouting.

Despite the attack, none of the passengers were injured. The boat was hit several times but did not sink. According to reports, elephants kill approximately 500 people each year in Africa.
