Forbes: The 50 Most Beautiful Villages in the World – Oia, Santorini on the List

Forbes magazine has published a list of the 50 most beautiful villages in the world, in collaboration with the Unforgettable Travel Company.

According to the list, most of the most beautiful villages are located in Europe. In first place is Bibury in England, known for its picturesque houses. Second is Hallstatt in Austria, with its wooden houses next to the lake. Third is Reine in Norway, ideal for seeing the Northern Lights.

A Greek village, Oia in Santorini, is in sixth place. Forbes describes Oia as a place with 'mirror-like infinity pools, bougainvillea-covered balconies and whitewashed houses perched on the cliffs'.

Other villages included in the list are: Giethoorn (Netherlands), Gásadalur (Faroe Islands), Bourtange (Netherlands) and Kotor (Montenegro).
