Iran Partially Reopens Airspace for Eastern Region Flights

Iran has partially reopened its airspace, allowing flights only to the eastern part of the country. The airspace had been closed on June 13 following an Israeli air strike.
According to Transport Ministry spokesman Majid Akhavan, the airspace of eastern Iran is now open for international and domestic flights to and from airports in the eastern part of the country. Among the airports that are reopening are Mashhad, Chabahar, Zahedan and Jask.
Flights to other regions, including Tehran, remain prohibited for the time being.
