Thousands of participants gathered in the town of Buñol, Spain, for the La Tomatina festival, throwing tomatoes in an event of joy and release.

Approximately 20,000 people participated, using 120 tons of tomatoes. The atmosphere was filled with music and laughter.

This year's celebration was special, as the city had been affected by floods in October 2024. The festival served as a symbolic moment of relief with the slogan 'tomato therapy'.

The festival, which celebrated 80 years since its first organization in 1945, attracts tourists from all over the world. Participants are asked to crush the tomatoes before throwing them.

The tomatoes are grown exclusively for the festival and are not suitable for consumption.
