China Building World's Tallest Bridge, Cutting Through Mountain Range

China is preparing to open the world's tallest bridge in Guizhou province. Instead of building a tunnel, engineers chose to cut through a mountain range to construct the Guizhou Luan Expressway.
The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge will be 625 meters above the canyon and is expected to open at the end of 2025. It will be 2,889 meters long and 1,420 meters wide. Over 49,000 tons of steel have been used in its construction.
The bridge will be taller than the Eiffel Tower, reducing a 70-minute journey to just over a minute.
