Indonesia: 59 Trapped in Collapsed Boarding School Rubble

Fifty-nine people remain trapped in the rubble of a boarding school that collapsed in Indonesia on Monday, according to the latest report from rescue services.
Abdul Muhari, a spokesman for the national disaster management agency (BNPB), said that "59 people are still trapped under the rubble," adding that some survivors may not have yet reported their status.
Yesterday, Wednesday, five survivors and two bodies were recovered from the ruins of the Islamic boarding school, which is located approximately 30 kilometers from the city of Surabaya, in eastern Java.
Dozens of parents have gathered near the school, calling for the acceleration of search and rescue operations.
The causes of the collapse are under investigation, with initial indications suggesting poor construction.
