Indonesia: Crocodile kills woman searching for mussels

A 35-year-old woman in Indonesia tragically died after being attacked and killed by a crocodile while searching for mussels in the Luan Boya River.

The victim, identified as Jusmitawati, had gone to the river with a friend last Sunday. According to reports, she wandered further away from her friend and subsequently disappeared under the water.

Her husband began searching for her and eventually saw the crocodile holding her body. Villagers attempted to retrieve her body, ultimately having to shoot the crocodile to make it release her.
